Quick Slants Week 2: Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings

Posted on

  • Goodness, Davante. Are you trying to make everyone hate you?
  • I don’t understand why the Packers wouldn’t put Aaron Ripkowski in to block for Eddie Lacy on the goal line. Why even have a fullback on the roster?
  • It looks like Joe Thomas has made the jump you hope for. He’s been aggressive and very decisive. Se ball, hit ball.
  • Jake Ryan had a solid night. The Packers young inside linebackers played less of a role in the outcome of this game than expected.
  • The corners on the other hand… specifically Damarius Randall. Disgusting.
  • What happened to the offense we know and love? I thought things would change this season. Guess not.
  • Where are the slants, crossing patterns and seam routes? Does the middle of the field not exist? Why not take advantage of Jared Cook’s size?
  • Jared Abbrederis needs to be on the field over Davante Adams.
  • Aaron Rodgers is off. He’s been off for a while. I don’t know why but I’m tired of watching it.
  • It’s 4th and one. You have a sledgehammer of a fullback. You have a tank of a starting halfback. Eh, screw it, Give it to Starks. Makes sense.
  • Aaron Rodgers got outplayed by a guy who’s only been with his team for 2 weeks. Something is very wrong.
  • 22 for 31, 286 yards and 2 touchdowns. If Sam Bradford continues to play this way, the Vikings will look very smart for making that trade.
  • Oh yeah, speaking of that, the turd cheeseburger has returned. Dom Capers’ defense got smoked.
  • It’s early in the season and things could improve but they might not. This offense is looking like it will continue on it’s path of frustration. Fans should wait until after the bye to really decide how they feel about the offense but this isn’t a great start.
  • The Vikings have a fantastic coaching staff. Sam Bradford was too much for the Packers after just weeks in Minnesota. The Minnesota Vikings aren’t going away, folks.
